e-Tools

e-Tools are digitally presented materials, instructional techniques, and/or strategies that can be used or manipulated by a course instructor to proactively create a learning environment that benefits a broad range of learners.

The primary focus of the UDI Online Project is to illustrate the use of effective teaching practices with e-Tools in online and blended courses for students with cognitive disabilities such as Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). However, an e-Tool may not meet each unique learning need of a student with LD or ADHD, and accommodations may still be necessary. Additionally, the unique needs of students with other disabilities, such as visual impairments, hearing impairments, or physical disabilities, may not be met with every e-Tool, and reasonable accommodations may also be necessary.
